MOLLY WATTA
Painter
I create digital and physical works of contemporary art using simple techniques backed by complex concepts about life, society, and technology. Lines and shapes are my favorite tools to communicate with and are a common theme in my pieces.
My work depicts my experience growing up within the digital revolution. I often feel like I’m living in the future and past simultaneously, and I create for both audiences. I’d like for my work to influence the present viewer to seek answers and create right & wrong interpretations like with hieroglyphs or Bible stories. I’d like for the viewer in the future to do the same whilst appreciating glimpses of our modern technological advancements that will eventually be obsolete, then myths.
My creative energy is fueled by new information. I feel most inspired and refreshed when I learn new things about life and myself therefore creating pushes me to keep searching in life and be open to new ideas.
